Repeat prescriptions will be issued at the doctor’s discretion and are normally for patients on long-term treatment.
Patients are asked to use the repeat slip provided with their prescriptions. If this is used we aim to complete a repeat prescription within 2 working days (failure to use a repeat slip may result in errors and additional delay).
Certain requests may require attendance at the surgery for review prior to issue of the full amount requested.
Telephone requests for prescriptions are not accepted.
For those patients on controlled medication, each prescription collected needs to be signed for. It is possible to nominate someone to collect on your behalf, please see Brenda for full details. If your medication is collected/sent to a nominated chemist there are no changes.
If you would like your prescription posted to you, please provide a stamped addressed envelope, bearing in mind that you will need to allow more time for the postal service.

Prescriptions will not be issued if the request is made too early i.e. too long before your current medication runs out, unless there are mitigating circumstances e.g. holiday, bank holidays or the Christmas and New Year period.
We are also able to accept requests for repeat prescriptions through this website by clicking on the link at the top of this page. In order to use this service you need to register as a user. Please contact the surgery reception if you would like to register.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, pharmacist or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
